I don't know why my first review was deleted. I didn't see it until 2 years later. Everything happened like that. The booking was made for my husband. For reasons of anonymity only the initials GM. The company is welcome to contact me for verification. I also know that after losing the 3 star, a veggie menu has recently been offered. It wasn't the case back then. We have been guests at this hotel several times. Unfortunately this time for the last time, as the deciding factor for our visit was always the Vendome restaurant. Incredibly poorly organized event for the Falstaff Wine Trophy 2023/24 A walking dinner for 335 € per person, where the main course (served by the star landlord Wissler) is no longer available after an hour and, to top it off, the rude answer from the person in charge that it 's not their fault if other guests eat 5 times walking and you were too slow (there were 9 stations and we still eat the main course at the end of an enjoyable meal) of course the promised feedback and compensation did not occur. Ein bereits bezahlter Gutschein aus konnte erst pandemiebedingt, dann aus familiären Gründen nicht eingelöst werden. Uns ging es ausdrücklich nicht um eine Reaktivierung oder Erstattung, sondern lediglich um ein kleines Entgegenkommen im Rahmen einer konkret geplanten Neubuchung. Dies wurde vom Hotel strikt abgelehnt – ohne jede Form von Kulanz, ohne jede noch so kleine Geste. Stattdessen wurde auf „Gleichbehandlung“ verwiesen, was in dieser Konsequenz wenig überzeugend wirkt. Gerade für ein 5-Sterne-Haus ist ein derart unflexibler und wenig serviceorientierter Umgang aus unserer Sicht enttäuschend. Besonders unverständlich: Selbst die Aussicht auf eine neue Buchung des gleichen Arrangements...
Outstanding Grand Hotel! An old school hotel, with fluffy carpets, large rooms and great service! We used it as a carnival hideaway because we live in the middle of Cologne city center and we weren't disappointed! Great ambience, excellent staff, punctual and reliable room service, nice rooms, pleasant SPA area and good restaurants (unfortunately we weren't in the Vendome because it was a closed day). The surroundings with the forest are also really inviting. We will find refuge there again for the next carnival!
Undoubtedly this is a 5*s hotel. I would particularly like to highlight the spa with its excellent facilities and very attractive design. Not a criticism, just a personal opinion that the service seemed a bit formal to me, I would have liked it to be more relaxed. However, the overall attentiveness and friendliness of the service left nothing to be desired. The view over the city is fantastic. Be sure to visit the Vendôme restaurant!
I was allowed to take part in a conference there. Everything was really great! Organization, food, service, friendliness of the staff... everything was really good. That's exactly how I imagine it would be if you spend the night there. Service: 5 Location: 5

Tolles Hotel mit freundlichem Team. Ruhig gelegen und doch ist die Innenstadt von Köln bequem und ohne Umsteigen prr Strassenbahn erreichbar. Wir kommen wieder.
