Ambrosia Cafe and Giftware

Strolling along Semaphore Rd which has become quite popular in recent years - in fact the whole suburb is getting a new lease for life - hence many new up market cafes, retail and everything in between has open there, plus the few remaining op shops and second hand furniture stores. Quite trendy and a little bo-ho.Ambrosia is nice cafe - some outside seating, and a good selection in menu. We only stopped for coffees and then decided to be boring and just have toasted sandwich and one of their cakes. Good service, pleasant staff and place clean.They do have a breakfast menu - with the usual plus a few other interesting choices, fresh juices etcNext time will go for something more. Liked the place and the general feel of Semaphore Rd.

I regularly go there with my cycling group for coffee and cake , and have been for lunch a few times . We have been going there for years ! The staff are very , very friendly and look after us really well . The coffee and cake is always very nice and the service is great . The times we have had lunch is the same and the food is very nice . Besides all of the above there is also a great range of interesting things to buy in the way of gifts and souvenirs , especially gifts for that " hard to please" friend or relative .

Waiting for the missus to finish her dentist appointment and the aroma was just delightful. Upon entering, lovely open plan - that is, uncluttered, eat inside or out. If there is a lonely single piece of cake in the window, it is shaking in its boots as it is MINE! And the coffee, in a JUMBO mug too and delicious all the way to the bottom.This is only my second visit to this café; must visit more often :-)

Excellent brunch, quick, great eggs and lovely staff. Busy morning at Semaphore but finding parking was ok. Relaxing with a pleasant ambience Wide range of gf food and vegetarian. Winter soup menu extensive. If our driving around worth a visit.

Great food and coffee! We visited here on a public holiday and were not disappointed. Service was fantastic from 2 out of the 3 people that served us. It's also a dog friendly café!
