American Steamed Cheeseburgers

I come from Spain and it is my first time eating a steamed burger, a delight, something new that is worth trying. In my case I had the steamed salmon and my partner had the classic beef steam hamburger. The place is nice, the decoration is very American haha with all the cutouts and paintings from past times it transports you to America in the 1900s. They play good music all the time, classics from the 90s and 80s. The service of 10, an older couple who make the homemade food themselves, it is appreciated to have a place like this to rest from so much junk fast food. P.S. If anyone is looking for a food challenge they have that too!

Small cozy restaurant with very personal and excellent service. The burgers are great and an extensive variety of sodas. Tried the cheddar bacon burger and a gluten free (bun less) cheddar bacon burger. Been there twice and would keep going back. Juicy and tasty burger as it’s steamed and melted cheese on top. Bacon pieces are crispy in every bite.

Really genuine owner, made us feel right at home. Th food was phenomenal, i've had plenty of steamed cheeseburgers in my life but this one holds the top spot, odds are you wont need a double! A single was plenty enough. The atmosphere was very mom and pop style and just felt welcoming. Thanks for a great lunch to the four of us.

LOOK NO FURTHER because this is the Best steamed cheeseburger in CT. The real deal. No other burger Can compare… (especially with the poppy seed bun). Baffling soda selection . Cherry on top is the cozy ‘dining room’ covered with wall to wall memorabilia and tchotchkes. Top tier place to spend a late night in Wallingford. Reserva una mesa ahora

Cozy small business, good steam burgers and also steamed salmon and chicken sandwich. Great choices for drinks, I recommend Maine root ginger if you want to taste a spicy soda.

I found it very curious how the hamburger is cooked, it is supposed to be much healthier when steamed. Its flavor is very good and fresh.
