We have been lunching and dining at Amici over the years and have always enjoyed the good, well priced food and the restaurant's ambience. Last week, a group of us had dinner here and not one of us enjoyed the food, irrespective of the dishes ordered. The main disappointment was the veal, which was, in fact, very tough yearling beef, most of which was left on the plate by those who ordered it. The usually attentive and jovial management appeared to be totally disinterested in their diners and the presence of really good customers. The wait staff were pleasant, although these people were young students, not familiar with either the food, or the wine. This was not a dining experience we intend...
We have been coming to Amici's for our staff dinners for a while now. Always a good night out. Tonight unfortunately it wasn't a nice experience. The young girls who were waiting on us, in particular one girl, was very rude. We obviously couldn't decide what we wanted to order for our main course, so when asked for more time the waitress was rude and walked away which continued through the evening. We are a a group of women who love to come out for dinner to catch up and shouldn't have to put up with that. Especially on a fun night out. We will certainly not be coming back due to her rudeness. Sorry Amici, but a very disappointing evening.
A dining experience that makes you want more and more. 20 years of amazing dining @ Amici's across various occasions and company. You get lost in the atmosphere, truly authentic, super delicious food made with love. Perfect for a night out with a loved one, friends, business, a group or family - you just need to experience it first hand as if you have always wanted to travel to Italy but haven't, then you don't have to go far to get a taste of what it would be like to dine out. Highly recommend!!!
Went here with a couple of girlfriends but would have felt more comfortable with my husband - very romantic setting; low lighting, candles, massive of atmosphere.The pastas were nice but nothing spectacular. I had the spaghetti marinara and there was an OK selection of seafood however, tiny frozen shrimps were included, plus four large (fresh) prawns. The muscles weren't plump like I would've liked/exepected.I would probably give this restaurant another go but not for a girls night out.

Never disappointed. The food is always exceptional, the service friendly and the atmosphere welcoming. Sometimes a bit noisy, but that is what a trattoria is meant to be like. My favourite restaurant.
Food fairly standard Italian fare. Staff need some training in the basics of good service, including greeting and how to serve meals at the table properly. Somewhat disappointing.
I have not been back to this place now - for some years. I was quite offended when I rang them to make a booking ( 3 for dinner) and was refused " we only have a table for four!".
My partner ordered barramundi; then the waitress came over and asked if she would like parmesan on it!...true story, This restaurant is about Italian as a holy cow.

Lovely wait staff, friendly atmosphere. Menu choices are varied and meals nicely presented. We were there as part of a large group and the meal service worked well.
Meal was simple and all delicious. I had veal with a yummy sauce. The atmosphere was dark and rather romantic.
