Locarno is a very friendly and loving little city. The hotel is located perfectly at the shore of the lake. The room with balcony is just marvelous! Looking over the lake from your balcony is something you won't forget. Breakfast was great, lot of choice...and you could sit outside in the garden poolside. Back in Holland we would pay double for half the view, simply perfect.
a few students and I stayed here during the on-site weeks for the school. I enjoyed the stay as he was always clean, the staff was friendly, and the pool and the water slide are an explosion! it's a little more expensive than the canalta, but I think it's worth it. but only so they know, they only have free dinner on Tuesday now and not Thursday.
beautiful hotel for a short stay, but for a longer stay 3 days) the breakfast selection must be improved (seasonal fruits, change of offer) eating in general could be more seasonal recipe staff was very efficient and helpful while the restaurant staff was just doing their work. being a good host requires a completely different setting.
