Whether you're vegan or not, you need to visit this place to experience the unique offerings it has. The price is worth it! I have been to all the top vegan spots in NYC, and this place stands out in terms of the experience and the vibrant atmosphere. The staff spends the entire evening educating the guests about the cocktails and the small plates that accompany them. The cocktails are fantastic and the food is also very impressive. Don't hesitate, just go! However, keep in mind that while this is a fantastic dining experience, it is really more of a drinking-centric event. It may not be suitable for those who do not consume alcohol.

I recently had the pleasure of trying the "Reserve of Amor y Amargo" hidden tasting menu and I was truly impressed by the entire experience. The menu includes 5 drinks and 4 small plates, all expertly presented and explained by Sother Teague, the owner of Amor y Amargo. This tasting menu is designed to be a communal experience, allowing guests to interact with each other and create a sense of normalcy. All necessary precautions are in place to ensure a safe environment. Guests can expect to enjoy 5 delicious drinks over a 2-hour period, making this experience a highlight of the year. A fancy cocktail bar located in NYC, East Village. We 've been the to prove their famous Negroni. The is not bad at all, but it was pre prepared in a bottle, so it lost most of his charm. Same thing happened with the Old Fashioned and the Manhattan it seem the only ones prepared fresh by the bartenders are their signature cocktails. We were not offered a food menu, so not sure if they serve anything there. A stop at Katz 's only a few blocks away solves the issue. But if you love a bitter cocktail, it is worth trying it.

This award-winning bar in the heart of the East Village is known for its impressive selection of bitter and amaro cocktails, as well as top-notch service overseen by Sother Teague. In response to the pandemic, they have added a menu of vegan small plates in addition to their regular offerings. This establishment is part of the Ravi DeRossi group of vegan restaurants and bars, and they have also opened a general store next door for all your bitter and bar equipment needs in the former Mother of Pearl room. I was eager to try this place after hearing so many positive reviews, so I brought a friend along with high hopes. Unfortunately, we each ordered the Sharpie Mustache seasonal cocktail and ended up feeling sick from the strong alcohol. We were quite disappointed and won't be returning. The cocktails were priced at $18 each, plus tip, making it around $23 per person. We were expecting drinks of higher quality, similar to those at Death & Co. or Bar Goto.

Amor y Amargo has the perfect high end bar vibes with reasonable prices. They make delightful cocktails that are all worth trying. The Amaro Sazerac was our favourite but you won't go wrong with anything on the menu. I strongly recommend this for intimate dates and hangouts

This is a delightful bar where the drinks are creatively crafted, and you may even have the chance to be served by the person who created them! However, be aware that the drinks tend to be on the stronger side as they do not use citrus in their recipes.

A friend brought me here and it was my first experience of amargo and I loved it! The bar itself has a great, cozy vibe with low lights and an eclectic interior. Highly recommended.(We didn't order any food though, so I can't rate that. Reserva una mesa ahora

Perhaps it was just the cocktail I ordered, but overall, I was not overly impressed. The staff was friendly and the drink menu was extensive. I can't remember the name of the specific cocktail I had, however.
