An Der Waterkant Freest

grounded, nostalgic... and just good! In the Waterkant in the traditional fishing village of Freest is an experience: A typical Reetdach building, as it is no longer as usual in the northeast, but fortunately it still looks and sprays the charm of previous (DDR) years inside. The map is bourgeois, and in any case I prefer the fish to meat dishes. Take the "Lotsenteller" as an example: a halibut and zander-dutt, surrounded by obviously homemade roast potatoes and a small salad bouquet, garnished with lemon and a homemade, fortunately unfatty Remoulade sauce. Home Cooking in the best sense! The beverage offer is ok, even if wine lovers want a little more choice and a little more quality. The last espresso was really good, as well as homemade (from the meat grinder) spread pastries according to Grandmas recipe were served with little sugar and lots of butter. The waitress in the Christmas outfit was not only professional, but as friendly as the boss who has a few nice words and anecdotes for every guest. Summa summarum: Those who come to the Baltic Sea Waterkant should also turn into the Freester Waterkant!
