My wife and I had a late breakfast here last Sunday after spending time at Hopewell Rocks and on our way to Fundy Nat Park. It was roughly 11 AM when we arrived and the restaurant was crowded with both diners and people stopping by for take away lattes and bakery items. Service was a bit slow, but understandably so, given the onslaught of people trying to savor the delights of this little gem.We ordered the eggs Benedict to split because they had run out of croissants for a number of their breakfast offerings. We were disappointed to not be able to sample their croissants, but were delighted when our order arrived. It was our good fortune to have split, leaving room for pastry afterwards. The eggs Benedict were delicious; the hollandaise sauce was plentiful and fresh and just about perfect. The dish came with their home fries and some fresh fruit, and proved to be very satisfying,We then ordered a pastry called a mermaid's something-or-other which was one of the best pastries I've ever had. So buttery and filled with chocolate and caramel and topped with chocolate chips. When I was paying the bill they had just brought out a plate of mini chocolate croissants and I grabbed two to go. Wow. My wife and I enjoyed those after dinner that night. The pastry was perfect and the dark chocolate filling was fresh and rich. The cafe has a great vibe. The food delicious and the prices shockingly low for the quality of the food and pastry. If you visit the rocks and Fundy you must find your way to the Octopuses' Garden Cafe.

We were on a family reunion with a total of 23 people. On our last night in Alma 13 of us went to this restaurant. Our group was split about 50/50 on the quality and quantity of our food my wife and I ordered the scallop pasta when it arrived it looked delicious but the first taste dispelled that notion the chef had over seasoned with what I would guess to be tarragon the taste was very unpleasant. Two of the others that had ordered it thought it was overseasoned but still okay I found it inedible and when 4 others tried it they also found it overwhelming. There were 4 younger people with our group and they enjoyed their meal but found the portions vey small. When they left the restaurant they went next door and ordered a pizza. When we expressed our concern to our server and to get her to ask the chef what we were tasting we got no satisfaction. To be fair they did take $20 off our bill but I'm afraid when we come back next year I'll give this place a miss

We spent several days in Alma, and perhaps tried every place in town they were all really good, we enjoyed the villages atmosphere and vibe, and loved it. But in no other place the service was as good as here, from breakfast to dinner, we were all ways greeted with a great smile and great food.

I've had breakfast, lunch, and dinner at this restaurant and every single time the food was absolutely delicious! Everything from their coffee to their appetizers and meals were tasty. The waitstaff are friendly and the atmosphere is great.
