Andaz Maui At Wailea Resort A Concept By Hyatt

Our experience at the property was awful. The Hyatt Hotel Group, to which the Andaz Maui hotel belongs, advertises with the slogan Global Care Cleanliness Commitment but there was no sign of it during our seven night stay at the Andaz Maui. We spend over 100 nights a year in 5 star hotels around the world. This stay was the worst in all those years. The hotel considers itself a five star premium resort. With room rates starting at over $1, 000 for the most basic category per night, guests can expect a top hotel and top service. However, neither is the case at the Andaz Maui. not at all up to par with Andaz hotels and not worth the time or money. They had the worst service in my life, even worse than any hostel to five star hotel. It was a terrible experience every moment from the grumpy disdainful welcome, the passive-aggressive way housekeeping just dumped 20 towels, toilet paper and bags of amenities onto the bed after we reminded them we 're 4 people in the room not 2, to no customer service and no follow up from management after our daily communications (they never ever contacted us . My family and I enjoyed this resort very much. We stayed at this resort for 4 nights and I have to say that this property was amazing which had everything to offer for our family vacation traveling with an infant. Upon arrival, we were greeted instantly from valet which they were very welcoming with Leis offerings. As we arrived to check-in, we were greeted with some refreshing lemonades while looking at the astonishing views of the ocean, pools and grounds of the property. The check-in process was smooth and fast and the front desk agent was very friendly. He went over everything that the resort has offer. The room was spacious and clean. Unfortunately not an Andaz or a five star experience.Rooms are very small and somewhat run down. Especially for the price the rooms do not live up to the expectation. In addition, service was really not very helpful and either dismissive or aggressive (ie we asked for additional towels and cups and got dumped all kinds of stuff on the bed).When we asked if we could be moved to a different room (we planned to originally stay for 10 nights) they simply offered no solution. Asked to speak to the manager and also never got contacted.At 1100 a night we would have expected more.We cut our stay short and moved to the Fairmont down the street. Just arrived at the hotel. Rooms are tiny and really old/ru down. For more than 1000 a night this is really frustrating. Half the hotel seems to go through renovations so there are no better rooms. Really not Andaz standards and the manager acknowledges that the hotel is „at tenure“. Would not recommend to go to this Andaz
