I do not recommend this restaurant for many reasons. They have mice, see picture.1. The hostess was not welcoming and was directing us to get some of their pre-made sandwiches instead of seating us, even after we have told her than are not interested in that.2. We asked for kids menu or kids meals and the waitress said they do not offer any.3. The waitress refused to make the smallest changes to any of our orders, she said that it's midday and they food is already prepared and cannot be changed. 4. This is the second time I have dined at Angelia's at the Palace of Versailles. The first time was in 2013 and it was fantastic quality. This time, in May 2017, the quality just wasn't as great. Our main course meals were mediocre and the menu didn't have as many quality choices. However, the onion soup is AWESOME and our dessert was also delicious. I wish we had skipped the main meal and stuck with soup and dessert- especially for the price.
After a tour of Versailles we had lunch reservations at Angelina . Having read some TA reviews I should have skipped lunch and had a pastry. I ordered a Cesare salad with chicken. Perhaps the worst I've had with tasteless dressing on top of which was flopped a pice of boiled chicken. I found the prices to be high based on the quality. Had lunch here after visiting the palace and before heading out to the gardens. Daughter and I both had Caesar salad with chicken - 23 euros seemed like a lot until we realized that we could have split one and still had some leftover! If you have the time, eat here and have a pastry as they all looked so yummy we had a hard time selecting.
We dined here at the Petit Trianon. They have a nice!y shaded outdoor patio where you sit after ordering and getting your food at the counter inside. You get to the counter through the gift shop. Just cafe and sandwiches and a few desserts. Decent prices and tasty sandwiches. Not too crowded either on a busy Versailles day!
The afternoon tea is a good deal, however the patisserie they provide is insanely small. Although they are very flavoursome so it's not so bad. One afternoon tea is enough for two people to share as the hot chocolate is very filling and has a great creamy taste. Would revisit to try more desserts.
Small quiche ...10 euros each.... microwaved and tasteless. Very disappointed. Was convenient as had two hungry children who'd walked for ages around the gardens. Wish I'd grabbed a picnic.

The food inside the palace is overpriced and mediocre. Would be better to eat behind the palace (near the garden and l-lake) after finish visiting the palace. There are more options.
The coffee is nice but the location is what makes it a nice place to go to. This is really a good place to just watch people go by and enjoy your coffee.
