Walked out due to poor service, staff should do better. We had prebooked a table and on arrival were told to sit wherever we wanted, the girl I spoke to didn't even ask my name. Having found a free table I then went and stood at the bar to be served, and stood and stood. The bar was relatively quiet and I was the only person waiting to be served. The barman saw me but didn't acknowledge me and continued to chat to the other female staff members while slowly making 2 cocktails. I stood for almost 15 minutes before we decided that it was time to find somewhere else to spend the night. Really poor service. If the bar was busy I could have accepted slow service but it wasn't!
Great hotel, very clean and centrally located. Great bar area and reception area. I loved returning for a drink at the end of the night to sit in front of the fire. The room had everything we needed and it was spotless and well maintained. We slept very well on all three nights with no disruptions, which is unusual for us. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. We would certainly return. I really liked that staff had taken our luggage up to our room once our room was ready, after we arrived early and they had stored our luggage for us.
We made a reservation at the restaurant for 7:30 pm. Upon arrival, a woman instructed us to choose a table as the restaurant was only half full. She mentioned that she would bring us the menu soon. However, we waited for 30 minutes without being served. Despite serving other guests multiple times, she never came to our table to provide us with menus. Frustrated, we decided to leave and found a better restaurant across the street. This kind of situation had never happened to us before and we found it to be completely unacceptable.
We reserved a 2 night stay at Angels Share. The staff was pleasant and accommodating. However, the cocktail I tried was not good and I question if it was a real Cosmo. The room was mediocre with water stains on the ceiling, no bathroom fan, and a noisy generator outside the window that was disruptive all night. I probably wouldn't stay there again, but the fire in the club room was cozy and the staff were friendly.

This hotel is a fantastic value for the price. Each room is decorated with a theme based on a famous Scottish icon, which adds a fun touch. The bar is also a great spot to relax and enjoy a cocktail. The staff are friendly and talkative. I would definitely stay here again.
Drink selection was plentiful, prices were very reasonable. However service much to be desired. Waited a good 15 minutes before we where served. However for a quick stop I would still recommend this bar for a drink

Concierge at Waldorf recommended for lunch I was a bit enthusiastic as it was so close, assuming it would be touristy.
