my sister favorite Thai restaurant in grand rapids, so my last visit went to lunch. sis was over the moon with the food, but I live in a real eating city with a huge thai community and did not find the food at angel 's to be very authentic. it was tasty and plentiful, but nothing I could not reproduce in my own kitchen. service was dirty and I had to ask for basilikum (in a Thai restaurant, no less) if I could find our waitress, but we were there at 22:00 a.m. and the staff was not particularly interested in us. the curry was good and well seasoned (I ordered a 3 on the one to tenth warm scale and should have gone with 5). not safe, but I think there was a piece of bark in my vegetarian pad...
I went to Angel's Thai Cafe for a late lunch craving some Thai food. The cafe was cozy, and I was happy to have it to myself since I visited around 2 in the afternoon. The waitress greeted me promptly and was helpful in pointing out vegan options on the menu. She checked on me frequently and refilled my water when I asked. I decided to customize my stir-fry for lunch, choosing my protein, noodle/rice, veggies, seasoning, nuts, and spice level. The portion was satisfying and cost $10.59 before tip. I don't usually eat out for lunch, so I thought the price was reasonable for what I received, although some may find the portion size to be lacking in value.
I’ve called twice now before placing an order to be delivered with questions regarding menu items because I have dietary restrictions. Both times I found the employee to be super helpful, knowledgeable and patient! I really appreciate this because so many times I ask about a menu item at other restaurants and the staff have no clue! Food was delicious and good portions.
This place is my favorite Thai restaurant in GR. Your intake is super fast and the food is consistently delicious. I really appreciate that the vegetables placed in their dishes are fresh, add to the taste of the dish, and are consistent every time. I usually order the peanut curry noodles with chicken and would highly recommend!

The tastiest fried rice (Kow Pad) in downtown! I loved every bite. Everything about this place is great, except that they close the kitchen even before 7:30 PM on weekdays.

A simple walk from the big hotels. The food is rated 1-10 hot. I like it sharp, so I started at 8. I had to need chili paste and sauce to bring it up to 10, but nevertheless the quality and price was for area. Great waitress, too.
Tried some fried rice and shrimp from here a while ago from off someone's plate and it tasted delicious. Not sure what's the name of the entree but when I find out, i'm coming back to buy my own!
The staff is welcoming, the food is delicious, and the prices are very reasonable. The Crab Ragoon was a bit too thick for my taste, but they were generously filled. I plan to come back again.

I had a great experience at this restaurant. The staff was friendly and the food was delicious. My favorite dishes are the red curry and green curry.
