This restaurant has amazing ceviche! It is super fresh and flavorful. Also, the shrimp scallop burrito is a favorite, it?s a good size and you really don?t need to get the combo plate unless you are very hungry. The service is nice and they try to get to know you. They also put up with our shenanigans of finding the right table or seating arrangement. Finally, the street and the crunchy cheese tacos are my wife?s favorite. I highly recommend this place and enjoy going here with friends, especially for a night cap.
The food at this restaurant is excellent, although the portions are slightly smaller than at other Mexican restaurants in the area. However, the quality and flavor are much higher than most other Mexican restaurants in the area. The service was decent, but none of the staff seemed particularly cheerful. I usually only visit this restaurant on weekends after playing golf. The chicken enchiladas are a perfect match for a round of golf. The chips are some of the best in San Diego and the salsa is tasty.
Highly good customer service which I liked. Friendly staff , very attentive. Especially the boss /owner . The ambient really chill to have a good time out . Food was good, but for my taste was missing salt on my shrimp cocktail had to add more and more salt to it to bring out the flavor. I tried my husbands beans which didn't have salt but it was ok . Because I appreciated everything else . Great customer service ! Thanks !
We tried this place last night since we figured they have been in business for almost 50 years. Horrible service ever. The food was almost as bad and expensive for Mexican food. the so called, juicy steak was over cooked. the carnitas was so dry, even 2 limes couldn't help. lots of lettuce on the plate making the portion of the actual meal, small. Absolutely a waste of time and money.

Where should I start. No reception when we walked in. Finally was seated at bar. No wait person. We had to flag someone to help us. The Margarita was horrible. The food was mediocre. Only good thing was the rice. Saving grace was the waiter once we got one. I did notice the larger groups did get better service. I guess two isn't worth the bother!
We really enjoy this restaurant! It's conveniently located near all the shopping centers, and they have delicious margaritas that are on happy hour prices every day. You don't have to break the bank to dine here, but the food is always fantastic and the staff is very friendly.
Anita's is without a doubt one of the top restaurants in Oceanside! The food was fresh, hot, and absolutely delicious. The service was quick and the server was very attentive. I highly recommend it!

Great atmosphere and staff. The food is ok. i feel like I've had better Mexican food that was authentic. The drinks are great though!
Always good food , friendly people. Wish it had a fireplace like it did in the old place.
