Anita's Mexican Cantina El Camino Real

This restaurant has amazing ceviche! It is super fresh and flavorful. Also, the shrimp scallop burrito is a favorite, it?s a good size and you really don?t need to get the combo plate unless you are very hungry. The service is nice and they try to get to know you. They also put up with our shenanigans of finding the right table or seating arrangement. Finally, the street and the crunchy cheese tacos are my wife?s favorite. I highly recommend this place and enjoy going here with friends, especially for a night cap.

The food is great, It's slightly less of a portion than most Mexican restaurants in the area. That being said, the quality and flavor is much better than most of the Mexican restaurants in the area. The service was not bad but no one seemed to be smiling. I generally just go here on the weekends after golfing. Their chicken enchiladas pair well with a game of golf. The chips are some of the best in San Diego and the salsa is good.

Where should I start. No reception when we walked in. Finally was seated at bar. No wait person. We had to flag someone to help us. The Margarita was horrible. The food was mediocre. Only good thing was the rice. Saving grace was the waiter once we got one. I did notice the larger groups did get better service. I guess two isn't worth the bother!

We absolutely love this spot! So close to all the shopping centers, and great margs that go on happy hour prices every day. You never have to spend too much when coming here but the food is always great and the staff is super nice.

Anita's is definitely one of the best restaurants in Oceanside! The food was fresh, hot, and down right delicious! The service was fast and one server attentive! I recommend highly!
