This was our first visit to the restaurant, and we were warmly greeted by the owner, Safat, as soon as we walked in. Since it was a bit late, we asked for his recommendations. We ordered the Masala Dosa, Mutton Biryani, and Chettinad Pepper Chicken Masala. The dishes were beautifully presented, the waitstaff was incredibly friendly, and most importantly, the flavors were spot on. I highly recommend this place!
This was our first visit. As soon as we enter the restaurant we were greeted very nicely by the owner Safat. It was kind of late so we asked for his recommendation. We had the masala dosa, mutton them biryani, and Chettinad Pepper Chicken MASALA. Thefoods were served very aesthetically, the waiters were very nice, and most importantly the taste was on point. I highlyrecommend this place.
The fish fry here, particularly the pomfret, is excellent. The chicken, lamb, and button lamb biryani are also very good; these are my go-to dishes whenever I visit. I enjoy the uttapam and the sambar as well, both of which are tasty. I tried the coconut payasam, but it was more like a drink rather than a traditional dessert. The cauliflower dish was also quite good.
This place went from 100 to 0 in no time like all other Indian restaurants. Ordered mutton biriyani, it tasted ok, the mutton pieces were very few I mean like 3 may be. And the rice was all broken into pieces. Shrimp biriyani was about average. Do not go to this place with high hopes to eat some good food. It's just another sub par Indian restaurant. Great Indian food with good ambiance. I’ve been to many Indian restaurants in LA, but Anjappar is by far the best place I've been to.... Biriyani is sooo good with so much flavors and spices, chicken tandoori too. The staff are super friendly and caring.... highly recommend it... Definitely visiting again
Great south Indian food. We ordered chilli chicken, chicken biryani, mutton biryani all were great. The high light was the desert drink named jigarthanda. It amazing drink. We also ordered halwa, which was also amazing.. overall very good Indian restaurant, good ambience, quality and tasty food
We went on 15th. July 2018 for dinner at 6.30. we sat very fast and took our order and the articles came fast. It was Appam, Nethili fish fry and chicken 65 briyani. Everything was very delicious.. Thanks anjappar for great service
I paid $22 for Mutton Biryani and I am really disappointed what I get. Here is photo and video what I received. I am not going to eat this and I am visiting your resto tomorrow to return it..really disappointed with the service Reserva una mesa ahora
I ordered nattukozhi chicken biryani, fish 65 and idiyappam with Mutton Curry. Everything tasted really good. You can have a beautiful Tamilnadu biryani taste here. If you want biryani, you should visit this place.
