What a surprice! I was walking by this place for so many times and I don’t know why but never felt the temptation of visiting it having this (how it now turned out) so mistaken vision of the place being in a lower standard of average. The service was exceptional! The staff was so friendly and attentive throughout our meal, our water cups were always full and our waitress made sure we had everything we needed. We started with the bruschetta and each had a specialty cocktail. Then we each had a pasta dish for our entrees. The sauces were so good and the pasta was delicious! This restaurant is just delightful. The size, decor, staff, ambiance, menu, and food are an unbeatable combination. We usually order something off the daily special menu, but the regular menu has terrific choices as well. We love the soups and inventive special pasta dishes with fresh vegetables and seafood. The best delicate white pasta sauces we have ever tasted were all at Anna Maria's. We missed Anna Maria's more than any restaurant during the pandemic lock down!
UNDERRATED NEIGHBORHOOD STAPLE Maybe it's the fact that it's so conveniently located on the corner of Montrose and Clark that people overlook Anna Maria. They shouldn't! It's a charming and friendly spot for casual and tasty dining. Standard Italian menu, but all very well done. Staff is attentive and clearly enjoys being there. The highlights were the simple and comforting meatballs with bolognese as well as the pesto. Enjoy!

Overall I’d have to say I was disappointed in Anna Maria’s lasagna and carbonara. The carbonara was dry and didn’t have much flavor. Lasagna is one of my favorite foods but this lasagna was wet, had a lot of water around the dish and was just too sloppy for a lasagna.
Cute place with no frills Italian cuisine. I had the pollo picatta — very tender and the sauce was good. Tried some of my friends rotolo — fantastic. Fried calamari is cooked to perfection. Caprese was super fresh.
Fantastic authentic Italian joint- beautifully presented food and friendly atmosphere perfect for catching up with friends or a date night. Can’t wait to come back and try even more things!
Had an early supper there tonight with my kids the food was some of the best Italian food I’ve ever had amazing service great experience will definitely come back when I’m in town

Great food! The owner even came out to check on our party and the waitstaff was wonderful. Best chicken piccata i have ever had. Definitely try the almond cake.
Delicious home cooked food. Feels like you’re sitting in your grandma’s kitchen. Wonderful family experience.
