Anthony's Fish Grotto

Made reservation for a birthday dinner but you'll probably have to remind the waiter because if wasnt passed on...Very slight better than other fish chain restaurant but surprised when got bread with the very small garden salad (maybe we got bottom of bowl! but was told if wanted bread with meal it was an extra charge!!! The chocolate mousse was the best I've had and enjoyed the cocnut crusted tilapia...very good but the bake potato was terrible not fluffy at all. Other fish ok and shrimp over cooked..We go every year for special occasions but will be looking for somewhere new. Not the Anthony's of years past.

Wonderful seafood restaurant in a great setting by a large pond. The dining room has floor to ceiling glass windows looking out on the water, and there is also an outdoor patio and waterside tables. The menu is a combination of perennial favorites like clam chowder, fish and chips, squid steak, and fish tacos, along with a set of fresh catch entrées. Choice of side dishes. A very reliable choice for a great meal in a very pleasant atmosphere.

We have enjoyed Anthony's Fish Grotto at all three of its previous locations. Anthony's Seaside was the only place we could get a shark steak that we knew of. This is the only remaining store. Sometimes, they have shark, but not always. Today, I had a Crab Louie. I loved it. My wife had a grilled ahi tuna steak with pineapple salsa. She loved it.

Been here 3x now and it’s my favorite! The happy hour is excellent with quite a selection too. My husband is not big on seafood but he looooves the shrimp cocktail. The decor, the setting, the service, the lovely peaceful lake you get to sit by, is all top notch! Reserva una mesa ahora

Many years ago I ate at Anthony's on Harbor Dr in San Diego. This was my first time at the La Mesa location. I was not disappointed. Everything about the restaurant was great. The food, service and the atmosphere, especially the lagoon.

We dine here all the time, usually for lunch but we had a guest from Germany so we came for dinner. Delicious food, great service, and beautiful atmosphere. Prices are very affordable.
