We were in search of a casual spot for a quick lunch, and this place exceeded our expectations! The sandwiches were amazing, made with incredibly fresh bread. We also tried two flights of cider to sample a variety of flavors. The seating, both inside and outside, was exceptionally clean and comfortable. The process is straightforward: you enter, place your order at the counter, and pay, then choose a table. A few minutes later, they call your order number and deliver your food to your table. The staff was very friendly, and we would definitely return!
I had a great time tasting the ciders, and I ordered four different kinds. My favorite was the Yule Smile, which had a wonderful mulled cider flavor. The shop has a fantastic selection of local products, including their own apple jellies and jams. I also tried the maple creamie, which was delicious! The aroma of the fresh apple cider donuts is amazing, but sadly I can’t enjoy them due to celiac disease. They also serve lunch, although we only went for the ciders this time. The seating options are nice, both indoors and outdoors.
I ordered a ham and cheese sandwich for lunch and have been sitting here for 50 minutes waiting for my lunch. A completely ridiculous amount of time to wait for a cold sandwich. The sandwich was good and the guy delivering it was great, but my guess is they were backed up 50 orders. This, coupled with the 35 minutes I spent waiting on line to initially place my order leaves me in a position where I cannot recommend this place.
Tourist trap. Trying to be too much. Especially in regards to the tasting room. Called to make sure it was open- showed up. Cafe open but not tasting room. Two totally different environments. This is not the first time their hours and what is truly open has been wrong online or when calling to ensure. The donuts aren’t even that good. Just don’t bother. written by a local.

Wonderful little sandwich shop and taproom. We loved our paninis. The roast beef florentine was absolute perfection, warm and crisp and savory and sweet. The chicken pesto was also excellent with a really nice herbed focaccia. The cider flight was a perfect accompaniment and we really enjoyed the seasonal mulled grateful sled . So glad we stopped by on our way home.
I can't recommend Cold Hollow Cider Mill Café enough! The food is absolutely phenomenal—I often drive from Barre just for breakfast. The service is exceptional, with friendly front desk staff and cooks who go above and beyond. Every visit is a delight!
We had a fantastic time at Apple Core! So fantastic that we came two days in a row. Day 1, we enjoyed cider flights in the comfy cidery. Day 2, we had lunch in the cafe and everything was DELICIOUS! thank you for a great time!
Dog friendly outside in a large patio. Excellent food and the drinks were delicious.

Excellent panninis with Gluten free options to boot. 10/10 recommend
