This is my first time writing a review, which really speaks to how disappointed I felt after my visit. The food was decent, but the bartender was quite rude throughout the night. When I tried to order a drink, she looked at me as if I were an idiot and responded with a very annoyed, "Okay." Later, she returned to inform us that she couldn't make the drink, which I completely understand, but the way she handled the situation could have been much more courteous. We considered leaving due to the overall experience, but opted to stay and finish our meal in the hope that we were misinterpreting her passive-aggressive attitude. Unfortunately, that negativity persisted. In the end, we left a decent...
It took over an hour to get our food after ordering. Meal came out before appetizer. Steak was not what was ordered and was cooked med well not med rare. Wrong sides were on another meal. Waitress asked others about drink refill, never my daughter nor myself. Every table got their food before us and they arrived after us. There was only four at our table. I know it was not the waitresses fault totally but this was the worst experience we've ever had.
I had a wonderful experience at the restaurant! The service was excellent, and I dined in for lunch, spending around $30 to $50 per person. The food was solid, earning a rating of 4 out of 5, while the service was outstanding at a perfect 5. The atmosphere, however, was just average, rated a 3. Overall, it was a great visit!
The food did not justify the hour-long wait, and it certainly wasn't worth the price. For over $40, I would have rather gone to a fast food restaurant. The fries were soggy, and the chicken strips were quite small. I placed a scheduled order, but it felt like the food was hastily prepared instead of being fresh and made to order. Perhaps it was just a particularly busy night for them. I really enjoy Applebee's, so I'm hoping my next order will be an improvement.
I order the Bourbon Street Chicken and Shrimp every time I visit Applebee's, but this time it was disappointing. I don't know if it's because I got it to go, but it was not good at all. The only thing that was somewhat edible was the shrimp, and they were over-seasoned. I would rate it a 2 out of 10.
