First we entered a restaurant that didn't seem too busy and we had 45 minutes waiting. Our waiter was completely new, it was his first day. I'm not really telling him one of those criticisms, he did his best. There was no organization here at all. It was the worst experience I ever had. Applebee?s has been one of my favorite restaurants for 30 years. Looks like the bathrooms have not been cleaned for at least one month. It was so bad! I don't know what's going on here, but it also melts like a non-nicotine in the bathroom. I don't know who the management staff is here, but I can promise you that Applebee?s really needs help!!! Trussville is in flames in customer service and does not seem to care. At first, when an online order for pickup and then wait twenty minutes after the designated time of completion, we had to go and wait to find out that some of the order fell on the ground and had to be made new. Don't come to the car to tell us. Next, the order was incomplete. The order contained an order of Winton-Hühner-Tacos. But there was no chicken filling in the order. They pay premium price for food and not close to quality for the price. Something has to change. A family of customers is lost.
We received a discount by presenting our room key from the hotel across the street. Although the restaurant was a bit short-staffed and there was a slight wait, the staff members were incredible. Considering the current staffing shortages everywhere, it's important to keep that in mind. We were truly grateful for the team that was present; they had smiling faces and genuinely cared about everyone's comfort. Great people!
Children were the host and we waited near 5 minutes before someone came forward to sit down. It wasn't full at the time. When they came forward, they started and talked to their friends. That was very unpleasant while we waited for our table to be cleaned. One of our meals was okay. We had to get a refund for a meal as the steak seemed to be spoiled. We were just around, but we didn't want to go back.
There was garbage all over the floors. No crowd but yet had to wait 15 mins even though there was plenty of open tables. They set my and my gf in a section where there was NO ONE AT. The next couple that came in was immediately set down. The food was burnt and dry the shrimp was under cooked and the mash potato didn't have garlic flavor like the menu said. I do not recommend
The food arrived lukewarm after a 45-minute wait, despite many of the dishes not being complicated. However, our server, Nazary, was fantastic! She was incredibly kind and attentive, and I really appreciated her service. She deserves recognition for her hard work! Unfortunately, the restaurant definitely needs to improve the kitchen staff and have more hostesses.
Have not been to Applebee?s in a while and decided to give it a try. The food was great and hot and the service was great! Jodi was a great server a really good lunch! I had the salmon it was cooked perfect my boyfriend had bourbon street steak. Will beback for lunch soon.
