It was a sad day when I saw that Applebee's closed in Drum Hill. But fear not, the Tewksbury was another location at a reasonable distance! I love the sweet asian chile boneless wings here. The service at the bar is also fantastic as well. Tony is a great server; if you get him at the bar, you're in for a good time. I usually come after 9 pm. I think the half price appetizers happen 2-5 pm, and 9 pm to close. You can get an order of delicious boneless wings for $6 which is incredible. The chicken wonton tacos are also nice, and the classic appetizer sampler is something I used to get in the past.
Just stopped by for drinks and apps with my date. Had a Sam's Oktoberfest which is always a good go to and for the app we got the combo platter which was good. Really enjoyed the Buffalo nuggets, er I mean boneless wings- who are we fooling, they're made from breast meat not wings- but they are tasty and not overly spicy for people who don't want their mouths on fire. I even liked the artichoke dip and I'm usually not a fan of it. The prices are good and the bar area was busy for a rainy Wednesday evening so they're doing something right. Overall a very good experience.
Boneless wings look better on the commercial. Bartender was unimpressive. I got endless wings, and the waitress never asked me if I wanted more, even though she walked by me more than once. WTH? Bar wasn't too crowded; yet, both acted like we were in a Boston bar. Severe lack of attention...for no reason. Wouldn't go back.
I love Applebee’s but do not let Kyle serve you. He told my friends and I (whom are all under 18) that he could not get a kids menu “for adults”. Then when we got a different waiter to give us a kids menu and asked him for kids meals, he sighed, rolled his eyes, and shook his head at us. Very unprofessional.
