My wife and I attended an event last weekend and after she said she a a craving for a good steak. We had driven by the Applewood a few times so we thought we would give it a try. We arrived and were seated promptly and each ordered a glass of wine from a very limited wine list, Upon browsing the menu I started to feel uneasy. Prices on the left as per a dining room along with a full page of 25 variations of chicken wings.When it came time to order my wife chose an 8oz striploin with fries(20 dollars) anda starter caesar salad andI a 10 oz prime rib (25 dollars) with a baked potato, Both medium rare. I was informed that they didnt have baked potato but I could have friesor one of two variatio...
Good evening. Our first visit to your restaurant tonight and much enjoyed our time. The service was efficient, friendly and personal. The food was very enjoyable. We live local and plan to return. We had 3 challenges tonight. First was that our silverware had food still stuck on and we needed to ask for replacements. Second, our garden salad contained leaves that had begun to go rotten and we removed them. Third, in the men's bathroom the counter must have had bleach on the edge as my shorts came home with bleach stains in the front. We would apppreciate attention to these items and perhaps something to make up for the negatives in our experience most especially some recompense for the damag...
My wife and I went here for lunch and we both had the fishcakes.It wasnt terrible,but I've had better fishcakes.They had a bit of a funny taste to them,maybe cilantro.There was lots of sides with them,baked beans,cesar salad,chow and veggies.We didnt leave hungry,but I have had better meals.The service was OK,but it took a long time to get my second drink.I'm not sure if I would go back again,maybe something else on the menu would be a better choice.
Applewoods in New Minas has been a welcome addition to ther local restaurants in the area. This has been my second visit, the first was for brunch which was a hit so we had to try it for dinner! Nice clean restaurant with a very nice drink menu, plenty of choices for all tastes on the main menu and very good food at reasonable prices. The service is quite good too! Try it you won't be disappointed!
A friend and I visited this place last week for the first time, and it was great. I've been trying to justify going again ever since! We both had the squash curry, and we stayed for a long time after catching up. The wait staff were wonderful, the food was delicious and served in a good length of time. There were lots of other things on the menu that looked good, too, so I know I'll be going back.
We dropped in for a quick supper and were greeted with fast attentive service even though the restaurant was almost full, then very good food and a pleasant surprise of a lower-than-expected bill. It was our second visit and we like the many different choices on the menu (I had wild boar burger), overall a very nice spot.
