Aquitaine's service was dreadfully slow and the food was just mediocre. Unfortunately, it was not an enjoyable experience. We were asked to arrive at 5:15, not 5:30, but when we got there, nearly the whole restaurant was empty, and our table wasn’t ready. Our order was only taken around 6. After finishing our first course, we waited over an hour for the main dishes. The duck was served cold, and "rare" doesn’t mean cold. The veal was overcooked. Throughout the lengthy two-hour wait, the waitstaff seemed to be avoiding eye contact as we looked up hopefully for our meals. When we inquired, the manager mentioned they were “behind.” We were practically the first customers in the restaurant when...

Service was extremely friendly. Restaurant layout was that of a traditional and slightly upscale brasserie. Food quality is the only reason of the low review. We ordered the most sad and pathetic cheese board for $22. Image below. No meat, no olives. Slimy cheese, rotten grapes, and sriacha sauce on a cheese board? Like what? Anyway, ordered the poivre which was absolutely delicious, but was listed as $MP. It was $56 for a hamburger, the price should have been listed considering the only other expensive entree was around $36. I should have confirmed, but sneaky on their end nonetheless. The green onions were undercooked and I Al’s it choked multiple times. Dad ordered Lapin, a few bites, ext...
Aquitaine is an excellent choice for a delightful sit-down dinner. The atmosphere is understated and sophisticated. We were seated right away upon our arrival at 6:30 PM on a summer Saturday, even without a reservation. The restaurant began to fill up around 8:00 PM as we were getting ready to leave. Every dish we tried—Duck, Veal Schnitzel, Escargot, and more—was expertly prepared and truly delicious. The bartender who attended to our table provided great service, striking the perfect balance by checking in without being intrusive. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant for a date night, a birthday celebration, or any occasion when you're looking for a dining experience that goes beyon...
We had dinner there on 6-18-25 and ordered the Tagliatelle for $28 or $29 dollars. I 'm not sure there was $2 worth of food in each entree: 2 cut asparagus spears; 1/3-1/2 cup of petite peas; 6 strands of pasta. The sauce was comparable to the juice that comes from a can of peas. The Prosecco and Russian River Chardonnay were flat, obviously from bottles that had been opened and sitting on a shelf for too long. Service was very good. The atmosphere is charming. The food never has been very good, but based on our dinners, it has gotten worse as the prices have increased, which is a very bad ratio--and with a 4% kitchen tax now added. The staff at Aquitaine is incredibly gracious. Despite being busy, they maintain great organization. I had the wonderful melon gazpacho, enhanced by dill and cucumber—it was a truly unique dish that my friend and I loved! The swordfish was also well-prepared, accompanied by vegetables like eggplant and flavorful spices. I quickly reached out to a few friends to recommend the soup! One friend was very impressed by the duck, which featured a delicious savory glaze. Be sure to make a reservation for 6:30 on Wednesdays; the place is very popular. You’re guaranteed to have a fantastic time at Aquitaine!
Extrelemy disappointed in Aquitaine in the Chestnut Hill location.First, the service was extremely slow and the restaurant was not even that busy.Second, the quantities were ridiculously small for some overpriced dishes (at least for the special of the night and the salmon).Third, dishes are definitely lacking refinement and elegance, the duck and steak were way undercooked and basically raw. Not acceptable after waiting a hour.Overall, the atmosphere is nice and the parking situation is great but the food is not unfortunately (at least for that night) not worth it.
So-called kitchen appreciation fee automatically included in a bill is an insult! It 's a cost of doing business, just like any other operating expense and should not be added on as a separate fee. Just as I avoid hotels that tack on a resort fee or destination surcharge, I avoid restaurants like this and will not go back. This is an average restaurant and not worth going back to. Plenty of other expensive restaurants that do better, and do not tack on this kind of nuisance fee! Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4
I was warmly welcomed by the manager right away. I opted to sit at the bar, where the service was prompt and efficient. The music added to the enjoyable ambiance, and the food was exceptional. The overall atmosphere was fantastic. I highly recommend this place! Reserva una mesa ahora
Exceptional classic French cuisine. I ordered the Steak Frites Aquitaine, and the meat was cooked to perfection. The fries were quintessentially French. The service was attentive without being pretentious.
We had a wonderful experience at Aquitaine. The ambiance is lovely, but it seems they mix elegance, high prices, and quality. A little less salt would be appreciated, Chef!
