We decided to stop for dinner here after asking the I internet for a good restaurant near me while driving through but we accidentally drove right by. After a quick loop through the town back to the highway exit we found Archibald 's hidden behind a...row of local farmers trucks. Most of the clientele were the local older folks having coffee or ice cream but this very clean classic diner also has fairly large menu compared to similar small town diners that only do burgers, fried chicken and fries. Just stopped for a quick lunch and it was terrific! Just off the highway exit and you're there. Very friendly welcome and service from Tanya, equally nice for us out-of-towners as for the locals she knew by name. All three of us had the delicious...lunch special of homemade chicken noodle soup and Monte Cristo sandwich including dessert for only $7 each. Washrooms were very clean. Spent a pleasant 30 minutes there admiring the photos of Marilyn Monroe, James Dean, Elvis, and even an old one of Clint Eastwood. We will definitely stop here again!

We stopped in for lunch on our way to Moosomin. This place although nothing fancy is truly a hidden gem. I had the special that started with a large bowl of Italian vegetable soup. I could have easily just had another bowl of soup and...called it a day. It was simply the best I have had in a long time. I had a great homemade beef burger and a side. It also came with a dessert that we both turned back only because it was too much. Great lunch and by far the best value that I have seen in a bit.

We stopped here passing through. Food was decently priced. Family of 4 cost us $40. Pizza was really good. Burger and poutine were mediocre. Burger was small for the bun and poutine gravy was not flavourful. Chicken bacon ranch wrap was plain and boring. It...fed us but the meal was not exciting. Booths had rips in them and floor could have used a good scrubbing or renovation.

Archie’s is a great little restaurant. Owned by a local family with homemade burgers. I love the extra attention that goes into everything they do here to make sure their patrons go away happy. Friendly staff, everything is clean, great food.
