Had a lovely afternoon tea at The Arden Hotel Burgundy restaurant. The sandwiches were a nice selection, turkey, egg, cheese and pickle, prawns. The cakes selection was lovely, shame the spoons are too big to reach the bottom of the lemon posset glass, as it was so lemony and refreshing. The pastry on the mince pies was divine. Scones, tasty and fresh. Personally, I didn't like the coffee, so ordered a bucks fizz from the bar. We appreciated that they sat people well apart, so you could easily chat without background noise. Service nice touches like offering to take a photo. However, took quite a while to get a drink refill or order anything else. Overall a good experience and would revisit....
Brilliant stop over for flight from Birmingham Airport- good for parking Rooms: First time large, second time less! Good facilities, good food served freshly cooked. We arrived mid evening and had a fresh meal. Food drinks: Very nice. We dined in the restaurant and the bar which was very high unexpected quality. Good service and happy staff. Cheap and cheerful, the rooms and decor are extremely dated. If you want to save money by not being in the centre of the NEC and entertainment area it’s a 15/20 minute walk. Friendly service. Great hotel, really welcome and accommodating, staff were very pleasant and happy, breakfast staff bent over backwards to help me as I use a crutch to walk. Would definitely go back. This is a great place to stay, close to the airport and NEC. They offer a private car park, bar, and meeting rooms. The breakfast is delicious and served with table service for tea and coffee. The rooms are excellent, the service is top-notch, and the location is convenient. The hotel is known for its quiet atmosphere.
A great location for the NEC venue, the staff are very good and the main restaurant is excellent. While the rooms may be a bit outdated, the hotel is conveniently located near the airport and only a £10 taxi ride away. The meals offered at the hotel are satisfying and delicious. I will definitely be returning soon. Rating: Rooms 3, Service 5, Location 5. Highlight: Great value for the price.
