Arizmendi is my spot for great cookies. I've tried them all and all of them have that homemade taste. The bread is amazing. I haven't tried the pizza (I need meat on my pizza, they only do cheese or veggie)but they make a cheese roll that's equivalent to their cinnamon roll but it's cheesy. The cinnamon roll is Gold! I recommend early arrival on the weekends as there are a lot of newbies to the Bay who love standing in line for early morning bread. I hate standing in line for food so if ever I arrive and theirs a line, I come back later hoping that the Cookie Monster himself wasn't in that line. It can happen. This restaurant is not dog-friendly. I had not visited since they closed the service window, so when I went this morning with my Boston Terrier, they refused to let me make my purchases. There was no exception made this time, with a warning for next time - just a straight refusal. Even Starbucks allows dogs, offering Puppuccinos. Unfortunately, I cannot leave my dog tied up outside because he is friendly and could easily be stolen. So if you have a dog, you may have to leave it at home or leave the restaurant empty-handed, like I did.
Arizmendi is the BEST! I live right next to the Oakland one, but I prefer the Emeryville one more. Their daily changing pizza is AMAZING. Their cheese rolls and focaccia are way better than the Oakland location. Saturday herb gorganzola biscuit slaps. Chocolate chip cookie is one of my favorites! I LOVE THIS PLACE. Staff is so nice.
The baked goods and pizzas at this restaurant are top-notch, with a unique twist inspired by Cheeseboard’s worker-owned model and recipes. This particular location was the muse for the pizza parlor depicted in the Pixar film “Inside Out”. Additionally, Pixar’s Studio is conveniently situated just a stone’s throw away from Arizmendi.

The pizza flavors change daily. It was my first time to have red onions and brocolli as pizza toppings, but it was perfect with the sourdough base. They had equator coffee’s French blend for drip coffee at time of our visit. The coffee was perfect with the currant scones I ordered.
Today, I picked up the perfect sourdough bread for a BLT sandwich and was pleasantly surprised to receive a free red velvet cupcake from the restaurant. It was a delightful treat that made my day even better. The food was absolutely delicious!
Love this place, always get their pizza and it’s amazing, and the staff are also super sweet and awesome… but PLEASE stop doing the olive pizzas!!!! Lol
Amazing cooperative with the best pizza ever. The bakery items are ok, but the pizza is top notch. Go!
