Arms Reach Bistro

Attended 9 Aug 1150am for lunch. We are from another city 100kms away but wanted to go to Deep Bay and see the little village. We were seated down right away by a nice pleasant smiling young lady dressed with a black sun dress. We were offered drink and food menu and good time. This lady Mariah knew her special drinks and food menu well. We ordered drinks and took a while to decide as every food offer was almost the same priced 15-17. and a good choice for lunch. I had the coconut soup with fresh bread and what a great taste! We had two soups and others said nice taste and delicious soft bread and everything hot! You can get soup with sandwich but soup extra not like lunch specials are in some restaurants. The waitress Mariah came to check for extra/s deserts ect which we appreciated much. There is more room inside but as a very warm day preferred the deck to view the ocean bay. We would of liked to see a lunch special of the day. I hope your bar compressor gets fixed soon as wished a tap beer. The credit card machine was brought out which is a nice convenience. Excellent service and we will be back! Given this rating for service as we do eat out a lot and experienced travelers. Thank You for a very pleasant lunch. Happytravels.

Well there wasn't much open, maybe except the donut place and a few others, and it was supposed to be a date, so my wife made me go here, but what a pleasant surprise. we ordered the penne chicken, a pulled braised beef sandwich, and the garlic fries.Let me say i was absolutely blown away by the beef. it was so tender, so flavorful, the bread crunchy and soft. incredible.The penne chicken was also very good - not too overpowering, and the pasta really is different from other kinds of pasta, I just wanted to keep eating the pasta. They added what I believe was goat cheese - it was a little too much, but you can just take it a way. a light - tomatoey pasta, wonderful dish.

We were just reflecting on our meal last night at Arm's Reach, and how truly disappointing it was. This used to be one of our favourite eateries, but it is no longer. The menu items we used to enjoy are gone. The options are now quite limited and extremely overpriced. There was very little vegetable included in any of the entrées we ordered. The scallops on risotto were bland and really not worth the cost. This restaurant seems to be taking the customer base for granted - charging an arm and a leg for meals that are substandard. This is too bad. It has such potential. We are locals but we likely won't be back any time soon. Come on, Arm's Reach. Get it together.

Fantastic place to go! I'd wanted to try the Arm's Reach for quite some time, so the first opportunity was a Spring afternoon for my busy bff to meet for lunch. It was a perfect weather day for the village and the marina view. Take note, their patio is on the smaller side, but that's part of the charm. Their food and wine menu is pretty good, you'll find something to tempt you. We each had a spinach salad with pear and goats cheese - so good... You need to check this one out!

Busy popular place, but the two of us got right in (not on the patio, but at a window), Sunday noon. I can't remember what my excellent brunch dish was named, but it was delicious. And the Caesar was fantastic. Excellent service, friendly and quick.
