Arnies's was an incredibly pleasant surprise. We live in Astoria, the neighboring town, and it is, in an area, rife with fresh seafood and fish, among so many other ingredients, the epicenter of restaurants striving toward mediocrity Arnie's is the bright light at the end of a very sad tunnel. The interior is contemporary, casual, and clean. Very clean, in fact. All the condiment containers on all the tables were visibly clean and neatly arranged. Every once in a while, I encounter a place that whose food has such exceptional flavor, it blows me away. My wife and I found Arnie 's, first by accident (driving by it, closed), then on purpose (after seeing some of the glowing recommendations. The food may look like any other diner but the taste is wonderful, beyond any other place in memory. I had the chicken fried steak- tender cube steak, breaded and fried, undoubtedly in butter. It 's served along side perfectly crispy/tender hash browns, and the gravy is magnificent. My wife and I agreed to split a cinnamon roll. Wow. The rating is absolutely deserved. This café would stand out anywhere in the country. While breakfast may not be the most complex culinary task, there are certainly good places and bad ones, and then there are exceptional ones—this is exceptional. The eggs Benedict, in particular, were expertly prepared. The home-fried potatoes were delicious and crispy, without being greasy. Since it was just the two of us, we didn’t get to try much of the menu, but everything we had was impeccable. My little family and I decided to get breakfast here after reading some reviews and I'm so glad we went! Food was delicious! I haven't had a good Egg Benedict in a long time and boy I sure cleaned up my plate! My husband also enjoyed his chicken fried steak. Portions were great even My kiddos portion was great they also enjoy it as well. Our server Katie was awesome, she was nice and always made sure to check in with us. We will definitely come back! I visited Arnie's for the first time this morning, and it was fantastic! There were plenty of delicious breakfast choices. My poached eggs were cooked to perfection, and the breakfast potatoes were nicely roasted. My friend loved her veggie omelette and even took half of it home for lunch. The staff was friendly, and the service was excellent. We'll definitely be returning!
The restaurant offers excellent food, with plenty of choices for vegetarians. We especially enjoyed the Veggie Scramble and can't wait to explore more items on the menu. The atmosphere is delightful, and the service is outstanding. They also utilize state-of-the-art technology. We absolutely love it!
I love all day breakfast joints. Everyone seems to be able to make a good breakfast and Arnie's did not disappoint. I had the Arnie's Country Omelet togo and it was good. Their biscuits were interesting. The portions were good, but not gigantic. It was a solid breakfast.
