Thankfully, this place won't last long once a nationwide chain arrives at Southend Airport. I understand it might be dull working in the arrivals area of a small airport, but the girl who served me was too busy texting on her phone to even make eye contact. When I finally got her attention, she just placed my cup under the machine and immediately went back to her phone. After the coffee was ready, she set it on the counter, pointed towards the sugars, and returned to texting. If the management doesn't get their staff in order, this place will be pushed out as Southend Airport continues to grow—which honestly wouldn't be a bad thing. My advice: bring your own coffee!
In today's modern era, it shouldn't be hard for a restaurant to make a decent cup of coffee. All they need is some basic barista training. I ordered two cappuccinos at this place, and they were way too hot and weak. When I complained, the staff offered to remake them. I asked for a double shot and less heat, but the second attempt was still not great, although it was slightly better than the first.
When we arrived at the restaurant at 10am on February 14th, there was only one female employee working. She was busy cleaning and did not acknowledge us until she finished. Once she came back behind the counter, she just stared at us until we placed our order. The only thing she said was the price, £4.90, without saying please or thank you. It was evident that she was not happy in her job.

Early morning flight on New Years Day so popped in for obligatory bacon butties and coffee. Food is made to order. We asked for well done bacon and we weren't disappointed. Just brace yourselves for the usual ramped up airport prices...
The panini and coffee I had were decent, but the server was incredibly unfriendly. Everyone has off days, but there was no effort to be polite, and they were quite rude to several customers. I definitely won’t be returning.
Basic selection of sandwiches snacks and drinks. No specials on the board. Staff not particularly friendly and tables and work surfaces could do with a clean. This place needs a good Manager to inject some life into it.
The staff was dismissive and claimed that health and safety regulations prevented me from using my own mug because the coffee was extremely hot. It's best to avoid this place if you're looking to reduce plastic waste.

Nearly 20 mins wait for a burnt toastie. The 3 girls serving just didn’t appear to be bothered that there was 20 people queuing. Toastie was burnt as they left it sitting on the grill for 5 mins after it was cooked.
