We found this tucked away in the historic backstreets we're lucky to arrive in time to grab a table. We were welcomed with a chilled glass of cava, then chose some chipirones from the fresh seafood area. They were immediately cooked a la plancha with garlic parsley were possibly the best I've ever tasted. For mains I had salmon tataki, which was excellent a generous portion €13:90) My husband had a superb fish seafood paella. It's SO nice to find a place which offers individual paellas and at at accessible price €12.90 in this case). And a choice of several. Definitely a place we'll go back to next time we are in Vic.
We were made to feel welcome with a glass of Cava and introduced to a wonderful selection of fresh fish to choose from in advance and an excellent turbot to finish. Lovely light white wine and first class service. My partner enjoyed razor shells for the first time ever and couldn't get enough of them! We thought we were going to be alone for lunch but gradually the entire restaurant filled up with tourists, students and business people. It was autumn and damp outside and we would happily have stayed all afternoon had we had the time. One of those restaurant moments that lingers on in the mind.
We have been two times with friends. Both paella or langoust rice were very good. The inconvenience is that they do not have daily menu. Then you must choose the fish and sea food at the small shop inside the restaurant and it is very, very very expensive. we recomend to go there and have only paella or rice. No starting dishes.Then you will leave satisfied.
You are greeted with 2 champagne glasses (which are later on your invoice) and let you choose which seafood is to be ordered. We wanted to have a few shrimps (4 each 2) that were 19 euros.... The Paella is amazing, just don't think about the rest if you don't spend much money.
