We took some friends to Art Basil with us. They (and we) loved it. We had dined there before and our daughter's rehearsal dinner was there. They have gluten free pizza crust which was thin and crispy and also vegan cheese. Eggplant was delicious and a generous portion. Prices quite reasonable and service was great. Live music on Saturday night was pleasant background music so you could carry on a natural conversation. We just rented a condo in the area and will be back to Art Basil often.
Art Basil Restaurant is this drop of spice gem tucked in this nook it has a spacious out side sitting great parking but it is in a plaza so just be conscious of that when it comes to parking it was a raining evening so we did take out and service was great we order a gluten free pizza it was delicious !!?? thin crust we did mushrooms and ham!!? the anesthetics of the restaurant there is a piano right in front there is a very long bar kind of spacious and they serve mostly Italian ?
Not only is this a really cool and beautiful artistic type restaurant with a fantastic ambience, but the food was really really good. Eight of us came for a birthday party and the food was delicious!! We had scallops, crabcakes, and lasagna. And for our birthday girl, they made a wonderful dessert platter with tiramisu, cannoli, dark chocolate cake, and cheesecake, which we devoured with joy. All in all it was a wonderful meal and a great occasion for our dear friend’s birthday.
While the premise seems good with local artist paintings on display for sale. The service and food was subpar. The atmosphere was mixed between a neighborhood bar and an outside Italian Villa. Instead of Italian music playing in the background there was a variety, including rage against the machine . we were visiting the area and are very disappointed that we chose this restaurant . don't waste your time or money. Fernando our waiter was so subpar . I had to get my own condiments. Bread never came to the table. The restaurant offers vegan cheese pizza so when order we were informed that there was no vegan cheese available. Despite a publix RIGHT next door. We ordered the vegan pizza and meat pizza. Both average.
we had a table of 5 everyone enjoyed every thing especially calamari it's hard to please old school Italians and 5 stars to calamari we had tonight even a first timer!!!! She truly enjoyed it ??
Our party tried several things and they were all very good. (Mussels, bolognese, veal, and pizza... . Servers were very attentive. And it was interesting to watch the artist paint...

The drinks were good, the bread was good, the meatballs were great, and the bolognese was great!They had a live piano player all night with indoor and outdoor seating.
