Asador del Sur has been in my sights for a while now, and getting a spot on the STL Top 100 cemented a visit. Pretty sure reservations are typically encouraged here, but strolling in at 430 we had no problem being seated. The decor is nice and not overly loud or flashy in any direction, pretty simple. Service was extremely friendly and attentive, waters brought quickly and drink orders taken. Started off with a Levanta Muertos, a very light and refreshing drink. The beef and olive empanadas were delivered quickly, and were amazing with the sauce. The Lobster Salad was pricey, but very well worth the cost!! Polished it all off with a Spicy Margarita. Very highly recommend!
This was an accidental find but will be a regular spot in the future. The space is inviting, comfortable and well kept and the staff is excellent. I can't say enough about the food. The lobster bisque probably best I've ever had. My entrée was Langostino with potatoes and chimichurri sauce. My dining partner had 2 appetizers, chorizo and blood sausage. Everything was seasoned and cooked perfectly. We ended with a flan in a unique caramel sauce with a hint of cinnamon. Best meal out I've had in a long time and prices are very reasonable.
it is a European feeling that they are not rushed when they complete their meal. our server/bartender thought one would go table, but they're stuck around? he was great. the food came in a nice tempo. I love the muddles. the rest of the food was excellent. some of us had rest to go home. I highly recommend the restaurant.

Absolutely delicious. Great wine menu too! Our server was so so nice and really made the experience enjoyable. We split a couple different things and were very happy with everything. It was very bustling, which is our style, so we also enjoyed the people watching and knowing we were at a restaurant people enjoyed.
we enjoyed our dinner service was great. the roasted squid appetizer with dipping sauce was delicious and a very generous portion. I would also recommend the grilled otopus for a entree. it was very delicate and well paired with the creamy potato obviously prepared by a scientific cook. well done!
I went there to celebrate my birthday and had a wonderful experience. They surprised me with a special dessert, and we also tried the flan, which I would go back just to enjoy again. I highly recommend the lychee martini! I ordered the salmon, and I would definitely choose it again next time.
Delicious meal! We were just going to go for apps and decided to stay and get an entree- glad we did! Delicious steak. And the lobster bisque was our favorite. Definitely coming back.
