Very bad service. It was obvious they wanted to close early. Bought out our mains when still eating starters. Turned a table of people away when the restaurant was empty. Our Waitrose was outside smoking and on her phone, when she came back in we had to call her over and she cleared our plates with her coat on. We asked for coffees but were told they had switched the machine off as they wanted to close because they ‘didn’t have any customers’ this was on a Saturday night. Very disappointed.

We had made a reservation for Christmas Eve, but when we arrived at 7 pm, the restaurant was closed. A sign on the door stated that they were closed due to technical issues. It would have been considerate for them to notify guests with reservations. Finding another restaurant at such a late hour on Christmas Eve was a challenge.

We waited for 1 hour and 15 minutes for our starter, which was unacceptable. It appears that the kitchen is understaffed. The serving staff were fantastic and it was not their fault that the food took so long to come out.

The restaurant was closed and did not answer phone calls. We were disappointed, as it was Christmas Eve and we were left stranded. Fortunately, we were able to find another place to dine.

It was a good evening out which we all enjoyed. The only problem was that the restaurant had no record of our booking even though I had received a confirmation on my phone.
