Entramos esperando un ambiente acogedor, ya que es un restaurante vegano. Para nuestra sorpresa, fuimos recibidos con confusión y desdén. Hablé en español con la camarera, quien me preguntó si teníamos reservación, a lo que respondimos que no (todos los tables estaban vacíos en ese momento). Después de eso, nos dijo que nos sentáramos en una mesa y nos ignoró por completo. Esperamos a que pusiera nombres en las mesas, ya que no queríamos interrumpir su trabajo, que evidentemente era muy importante. Luego, se quedó de pie junto a la barra luciendo exhausta. Legit best spot in Valencia. Must-go. This is a one-of-a-kind vegan restaurant. You can’t chose from the menu as there is a single set of dishes served. The menu changes everyday so the ingredient are fresh. You will be served: a soup, a starter, a main and a desert. I have never been disappointed by the taste or quality of the plates. The quantity is perfect. Water and tea are at your disposal. You can also have beers and ecological wine. At the end of the meal, you get to pay in cash what you feel like paying. Quite a charming little restaurant in which you pay what you think it’s fair. They serve you a menu of three courses that change everyday, but are basically simple but delicious vegan dishes (soups, gazpacho, rices, salads) plus dessert. Don’t expect gourmet dishes as it’s more traditional stuff which is pretty decent. The food is really home made and the portions are generous. The staff is also very friendly, they ask you to join their association (an online form) in order to be part of the cause so you don’t pay, rather than that you make a donation. Interesting concept and will come back for sure.
This is the most wonderful, unique and delicious tasting vegan food cafe in valencia. They have a unique concept where you decide the price for the menu! Trust me do not pay them less and disrespect the concept because the quality of food is as good as the one you find at a restaurant charging you 10-15 euros pp. Can you believe the dishes are presentable too? This place is a vegan's dream. It's a set menu of 3-4 courses. Usually a hummus with bread, a cold salad or soup followed by the main warm dish and dessert. Help yourself to the cutlery, water cups and napkins. There is a bar to order beer or wine for an additional cost. When the meal is over, instead of bringing a bill, they bring a box for a donation. So pay what you want.
The food was delicious, but I felt really uncomfortable when I read the poster Tourists go home. You 're not welcome , placed inside, while I was already eating. The concept of this place is nice, but I didn 't feel welcomed at all, not only for the poster but also because it felt like they were a bit annoyed by our presence.
