At East Sussex National Resort

The staff were friendly and the afternoon tea was delicious, but I booked the tea online a few days before my visit at a price of £19.95 each and after the meal I was told that I had to pay an extra £4 each because the prices had gone up and had not been updated online. The first member of staff told me there was nothing they could do and that I had to pay the extra cost After complaining, the second member of staff only charged me the price I had booked it at. She was very apologetic. Overall we had a nice time.

The staff were efficient ,and friendly. The food was delicious I should have ordered a side of vegetables as the a la carte menu didn't come with veg so it would have been handy if the waitress had explained that. But that's not their fault I should have realised. But the food we did have was really good ..definatle compliments to the chef and the staff and it was a very enjoyable experience

The dining experience was enjoyable, and the staff was friendly. However, there was a shortage of employees at the time. The view from the restaurant was stunning, but the acoustics inside were poor. Despite a nice evening, the cold air from the AC was constantly blowing, causing many diners, including us, to ask to move tables. This added more pressure on the already stressed employees.

The food was very good, and the staff were pleasant. Unfortunately during these times they were very short staffed. The views are lovely but the acoustics in the restaurant are poor. Although a chilly May evening the AC was throwing out cold air and, like ourselves, many diners asked to move tables, which was very frustrating for the staff who were already under pressure with service. Overall, the food was really good and I would like to give compliments to the chef and staff for a pleasant dining experience.

The reception and initial waitress were very welcoming. The serving waitress was adequate, she said all the right things. The atmosphere felt a bit lacking in warmth but the restaurant was clean and well-presented. The high tea experience was excellent.

Ilse was an amazing host. She ensured that we were comfortable and enjoyed our meal. My wife and I had a lovely dining experience at a reasonable price. We could tell that the restaurant could use a bit more ambiance.

Ilse was a fantastic host. She made sure we were ok and that the food was good. I came with my wife and we had a nice meal at a reasonable price. Could do with a little more of a restaurant feel.

The staff at this restaurant were absolutely delightful - very helpful and cheerful. The food was delicious, and my wife and two kids really enjoyed our lovely Mother's Day meal.
