I recently stayed at Mama Shelter, and it was a terrible experience. This place is not family-friendly at all. The party and loud music went on until 2 AM, and even after that, drunk kids were yelling and screaming in the hallway. To make matters worse, I found needles in the lobby washroom. Despite being in a prime location, the streets around the hotel were full of homeless people using the walkway as their washroom, making the whole area smell like urine. Our hotel room had a tiny window with no sunlight coming in, and the only lighting was some LED lights around the headboard. The room was very modern and had a unique view of the Hollywood sign. The reception was super friendly and the staff does a great job. Valet parking is going well. The location is fairly central to the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Unfortunately, there are a lot of homeless people in Hollywood. We didn't like the $55 per night parking fee, which is quite steep. You should be aware that in the summer months there is always a DJ playing in the rooftop bar and in the bar and the music can be heard very well in the rooms. so party music all night long! In addition, in typical American fashion, it is not well insulated and you can also hear the banging from the roommate
I booked here for two nights on a friends recommendation. The staff were more than happy to accommodate a 10am check in and 1pm check out. I’ve never stayed at a hotel so accommodating. I was warned by reception that, being on the top floor, the rooftop music would be loud. I put in earplugs and was fine. If this a problem for you I suggest requesting a low floor. This is a vibing hotel, lots of fun, staff are friendly and will solve any problem with a smile. I ate breakfast there and it was delicious. No faults on the coffee ! The *only* minor negative I experienced was not being able to put drinks at the rooftop bar onto my room.
Hey friends, I recently discovered this awesome rooftop spot in LA that you should definitely check out. While I didn't get a chance to try the food, the drinks were decent, and the prices are reasonable for LA. I had the pleasure of meeting with the manager, who provided excellent service. I highly recommend giving this place a visit over the weekend.

We stayed for 4 nights and it was very nice. The hotel is well located near Walk Of Fame, the rooms are big and super clean. The staff is very helpful and caring. There's a very cool rooftop bar, with such a amazing view. The only complain i have its about the valet service: $50 dollars per night, with no discount to guests its absurd!
Great 2 week stay, a stop at the mama shelter in LA. Very nice hotel, friendly welcome, spacious room. You can really feel the French touch of the owner.
Horrible bouncer. Always frustrating to face those stupid people who abuse the little power they have.
Chill spot with a decent view. Small area for lounging, can sit comfortably on bed like pods
