we visited the restaurant on a Sunday lunch time, while on a weekend trip to this area of frankreich some friends who visited here before were taken there. we drove to the restaurant and there are limited (free) parking available, but. there are also street parking nearby. the interior of the restaurant is spacious bright and airy with wood floors, bright colored walls and large windows that are in much natural light. we had booked our table and this seemed cautious, as all tables should be used over the duration of our visit. the tables are well spaced and we could take our seats without disturbing other diners, as is sometimes the case in other restaurants. we were welcomed by our maitre d...
we sat by an attentive waiter. the menu consisted of 2 fixed price options, but with the option to switch between the 2. we ordered bark meat that arrived on a cold dish, the bark meat was cooked according to request, but was chewing and hard, it...was a large smear of pure flower cauliflower (under seasoned for us) a little greener veg, a large “chip” and Gravy type sauce. we ordered puds, lemon balm beautiful, coffee / chocolate cake beautiful and a chocolate mousse. the latter was in a lumpy chocolate bowl sprayed with some edible gold spray. Maybe that should distract from what it actually looked like! the mousse was placed in a jam that exaggerated the delicate taste of the mousse. real...
We have visited this restaurant several times -usually for lunch-and never failed to enjoy the food and ambiance. The restaurant is one of the 'special' ones, yet doesn't break the bank! The food innovative and extremely well cooked. The service staff are friendly, welcoming and very professional. They go through the changing daily menus in a way that tempts you to try everything. The wine list is extensive and house wine good.The background music is just that - played low so it doesn't interfere with conversation, and of the 'cool jazz' variety.We have recommended the restaurant to friends and family, when they have visited the area, and they have also been very happy with their experience.
We had not visited Au Bon Accueil for several years so were quite surprised how things had changed. Originally this was a very typical French restaurant with extremely good food. Now under new ownership it has been transformed into a very chic restaurant both outside and in. We certainly were not disappointed with the new layout, much more space between the tables and exceedingly good food. Staff very attentive. Excellent value for money. We will certainly be going back soon as it is just a few miles from our house in France.

The previous reviews do not reflect the meal we had. The Ravioli was not really ravioli and the dish had absolutely no flavour. I asked for pink duck and received well cooked duck. My wife had the piglet three ways and two of which were...overcooked. My wife is not a professional chef but her cooking is far superior. It was a great disappointment as we had eaten 10 other meals in France which upheld the reputation of french chefs. This meal did not!
We visit this restaurant once a year when we are in the area and once again we're not disappointed. Always a very warm welcome and a €20 menu that is superb value. Started with a frogs legs appetiser, followed by veal carpaccio for starter, butchers plate of veal, steak and pork followed by a very good lemon tart with meringue.This restaurant is a must visit if you are in the area.
What a lovely restaurant. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming and attentive. Superb quality delicious food and very very reasonably priced. The owner spoke excellent English which was very helpful for this lazy Brit. Modern surroundings very clean will try and visit again
We had an evening meal, based on local recommendations. We were not disappointed. We had the fixed price for €19.90, and were delighted, truly great value for money - we would return.
