It 's a fantastic gem of a place this is a treasure of charm amongst the concrete sea of La Plagne. It is quirky, the customer service is definatekly not polished, but the food was without doubt the best we had in LP and the place is lovely, rustic, charming, open fire, old barny, ...just great. Cote du Beouf for 2 was plenty for 2 adults and 2 little kids and amazing (especially the sauces). Tarte Tatin was simple but perfect too and home made. If you like refined elegance and like to complain if things aren 't done exactly your way, then maybe go elsewhere. We knew we 'd arrived at the right place from the 'Pulp Fiction ' dancing music blaring from the outside speakers: pushed our way inside, out of the whirling snow and found ourselves in a full on party atmosphere: It was completely brilliant. Found a table for 4 out back, towards the loos, and we were well looked after. My plain omelette and salad was huge and delicious at euro 13, but I was pretty jealous of the Lyonnaise salad my friend had. Beers and a round of Schnapps (probably from the landlord? ensured we really had a great time. Yes all around us people were dancing on the tables. We loved this place and came here again this year. But something has changed and it was a disaster. We wanted to stay inside because the kids were cold, but it was a mistake. They did not have any heating and it was not cozy. The service was very poor. They forgot about our orders and it took too long to make anything. We asked for hot chocolate for kids after the meal and we had to wait more than half an hour to get it. The food was not good also. The onion soup was almost cold when they brought it, and when we asked to make it warmer, it did not help. They brought it back not a bit warmer. The lunch was a total disappointment
Un cadre superbe, un chalet tout en bois, déco traditionnelle avec cheminée dans les salles du restaurant. Restaurant au milieu des pistes mais accessible depuis la route à la hauteur de MMV). Carte réduite avec des plats savoyards classiques et un plat du jour qui change. Mention spéciale pour le plat du jour vraiment top côte de cochon), la fondue est dans la moyenne niveau goût. Les tarifs élevés sont ceux d’un resto d’altitude.

Superbe decouverte de ce restaurant authentique qui a ete repris en 2022 par une equipe chaleureuse et sympathique. Plats gourmands et copieux, des os a moele long commenle bras, sans parler de l’excellente tartiflette ou dunMont d’or Charcuterie, bref ne pas hésiter à s’y arreter.
A wonderful quirky old cattle barn tucked into the side of the mountain side. Au Bon Vieux Temps is always worth a visit. Low ceilings, rustic everything and great staff! Almost like a living museum! They do a great hearty ski lunch and the best hot chocolate on the mountain.
