Sandwiched between the port and the beach and only a 10 minute drive or so to the Eurotunnel terminal this was a great place to eat before heading back on a late evwening shuttle. There are two reasoanbly priced set menus - we took the 2 courses for €26 option [the slightly more expensive menu] and we rewarded with two tasty and unusual courses plus a nice little amuse bouche. I tried the foie gras creme brulee to start which was a little weird as it was topped with burnt sugar but the mousse underneath was delicious.The view is rather dominated by the car park but you still get a great view of the sea/beach/port depending which table you are at. We were looking for somewhere to enjoy a last Continental meal before boarding the Shuttle back to Blighty. The restaurant has many reminders of England and gives a splendid view of the ferries entering and leaving Calais' busy harbour but the cuisine is, thank goodness, gloriously French! Arriving just before its 6:30pm opening time we had our pick of tables but it filled up and by the time we left there were [people waiting for a seat, always a good sign. Hearty portions of well prepared food served with panache made the thought of the long dark channel tunnel much more bearable.
Ayant reçu une smartbox, nous souhaitions l'utiliser ici afin de découvrir cette cuisine. C est raté. Des notre arrivée, on nous demande notre smartbox. Nous sortons la version numérique sur notre smartphone, et bien non, ca ne fonctionne pas, bien que toutes les infos nécessaires y figurent ainsi qu'un flashcode, il faut une version imprimée. Pourtant, nous avions précisé lors de la réservation que nous ne disposions que de la version numérique, acceptée au telephone... et sommes donc repartis sans avoir pu diner...
Three families - 6 adults and 8 kids - pitched up (pre booked) after a trip over to purchase wine. We had a lovely meal thanks - friendly and professional staff. All enjoyed their food, and nice the see the chef out mixing with customers. A nice relaxed lunch followed by a very pleasant walk along the beach before the trip home. Would return.

When you've gone for a walk along the beach or the promenade, this is a nice enough place to stop and try some fish.
