Au Plaisir De Chinon

Need I say more? Aside from returning to Chinon to spend time touring the Chateau and visiting with our new friends, I especially wanted to feast daily on the excellent selections especially the Brioche at Au Plaisir de Chinon. Great selection of the usual croissants, baguettes, gallettes and gourmet chocolates but the Brioche is in my opinion the best I've ever eaten in the world.

A pleasant atmosphere, exeption meal with an extremely attractive card! The negative point is the management of the customer on the course of the meal. We waited for more than 20 minutes to see him, to finish the meal on a coffee. Unfortunately we had to leave without, because no one came to serve us despite the multiple passages near our table. Amazing éclaires au café and sweet small breads with vanilla cream. Also they sell wine jam from red, white or rose wine . Very polite service .

It's definitely not "cutting edge", but L'Ardoise is a great local restaurant on a somewhat touristy street in Chinon.
