We went there by chance needing a quick lunch and thought it was fabulous . They are highly efficient and welcomed us warmly. The restaurant is not huge and we were glad to have got there at about 12 noon. I had the dish of 5 different types of smoked fish on the 3 course menu served with an excellent sauce, a local delicacy and delicious, followed by a small steak served with small roast potatoes and a small salad. The meat was perfect, far better than is normal for a modest menu price and the dish as a whole was excellent. The dessert was apricot tart and very good. The overall price with 2 coffees was 33 euro for 2 peopleThe staff are very friendly , with amusing quotations in the toilet and elsewhere, and we felt very much at home. It is relaxed, packed with locals and no signs of tourists, rapid service of excellent food, and plenty of jokes with the staffFaultless. Can't wait to get back. A new discovery but amongst the best we have discovered.

This small, seemingly family-run bar/resto is an ideal place for a good, quick lunch. The set menu at 12.50 euros could not be more reasonable and the food was well-prepared and fresh. An ample cold buffet serves as a starter. I had a very delicious cassoulet (too much) and my husband had the special, a grilled l'onglet (flank steak) with shallots and fresh homemade fried potatoes and salad. He finished happily with Ile Flottant (I cannot promise the creme anglais was house-made but it was fine). Service was efficient and rapid, if impersonal, but we understood as there were several groups waiting for seats. We weren't looking for gourmet dining, just a good simple meal and that is what we got.

Good value for money. The café doesnt seat many, and it does get filled up with locals, but the staff are friendly and the food is good, and filling. Buffet starters, then freshly cooked main dish of the day, which changes each day (cassoulet, veal casserole...), but there is a choice if that doesnt appeal, and then simple pudding - chocolate mousse, fromage blanc ....We took a 2 year old, and his lunch turned up within 5 minutes of us ordering, and his pudding was served when he had had enough of the main meal. The staff then started playing with him.I would definitely recommend, well worth the effort of getting a table.

My wife and I visited with 2 friends for lunch in July 2013. Useful location 3 minutes walk from the bustling market. 3 excellent courses including a large buffet to start with, drinks and coffee came to about 60 euros between us. Excellent service, comfortable friendly ambience, well prepared dishes. The restaurant was full but the bonus and recommendation was that all the other guests were French.
