We ate here twice while staying in Durtal. Meals were well priced and wine delicious. Interior has been updated to the 1980's since photos on page. I wish I had taken some. It is now brought up to the art deco-ish 80's with red and white themed tables and walls, it's odd, but amusing. Service was wonderful. We had the nicest young man wait upon us. Huge salad portions. Salade Grande Mere was fresh greens, potatoes, confit, bacon, and crumbled cheese with a yum dressing. I had a porc dish one night that melted in my mouth. Lovely food, well cooked with friendly service. L'escargots deserve a special mention. This is not a restaurant that is immediately obvious as you drive past, but it is well worth seeking it out. The fish with a bisque was delicious and the veal very succulent. We ate in the garden and were made to feel very welcome if you don't speak French use google translate!

Wonderful restaurant with very accommodating English speaking owner. Fully following covid precautions. Super meal. 2 had rump steak 2 duck in pear sauce. Lovely lemon tart. All washed down with a nice bottle of local rose. Great value and excellent service. Will be back when we return through Durtal in 2 weeks.

This is a small restaurant but very busy when we went but the patron showed us to a nice table for two. We had the menu de jour which was well cooked and presented. The service was friendly and helpful even though they had a large party to look after. Very good value for money.

Stayed in durtal for one evening and came across this lovely restaurant. The owner spoke perfect English and made some great recommendations. Fully following the new covid rules. Enjoyed it so much we will return when we pass through durtal this weekend.

My husband and I enjoyed one of our best meals here during our three week stay in France. The service was friendly and professional and the food was delicious. The value was exceptional.

Passed by the area and found this restaurant to have a simple lunch. For the menu of euro 14.5, all dishes and desserts are properly prepared, cooked, and tasty, impressive.

Just follow the sugestion of the owners for meals and wine. The surprise will be good for sure. A small place that makes you feel at home.
