We chose this restaurant in Andlau as it had an attractive choice on the menu, and looked a really pleasant venue. We were the only people in the restaurant (okay, it was mid-week, out of season), and the owner/waitress appeared bored she interacted with...us only to take our order and deliver the food. The starters were fine, but nothing special. My wife had a warm terrine, while I had cheese in filo pastry. Perhaps it shouldn't be an issue, but I was surprised that the accompanying salads were identical. We both had fish for the main course, but it was extremely dry. Oh well, you win some, you lose some!

external escaping is not very beautiful. the food was blanching. columbo caribbean lamb stew was not tasteful, although made with curry. the chicken flimmerssee was also disappointing with very little taste in the chicken and sauce over a haufen tasteless shallow noodles. the only hit was the ochsenschwemmung. and the chocolate fountain was okay. I wouldn't recommend it. we were their only customers in the night we had sunk.

warm and excellent service during our meal. very cozy interiors and the Christmas theme went. we had the Foei grass salad with dessert for appetizers and the pigs knuckle for the net. the dishes were somewhat underwhelming. the salat felt a little old and the pig shell did not feel special. expected more, but it was a break. Maybe it was a good farewell, but we had no good meal here, was under average.

This is a tiny, couple run gem. The food is expertly prepared and service is excellent and efficient. Fortunately perfect English is spoken. The menu is broad and varied with a delightful mixture of French and German favorites. Particularly welcome were seasonal items included in...the salad selections. Portions are generous and the prices are very reasonable

We came here as we'd been walking in the surrounding countryside and were in need of a bit of R&R. The service was great, friendly and efficient. We opted for the fixed menu at lunch and were not disappointed, the portions were colossal! Everything was...well cooked and very very tasty.

we had a very good dinner in an unpretentious but excellent restaurant. I had escargots, followed by white asparagus with marinated trout. superb. all with two pichets reisling.
