Our big group of friends went for lunch at Au Vieux Duluth today in Dollard-Des-Ormeaux. Despite the large number and some being picky, the servers were very helpful and cheerful. The first course was soup and it arrived quickly and tasted great. Some of us had the cream of broccoli while others had the lentil soup. The main course favourite was Chicken Brochette for several of us and someone had a chicken salad and another had a burger, but the food was excellent. They then came around and served coffee to us all and some had refills and desserts too. And the price was amazing for the lunch specials. Will definitely go there again with other friends. We used to visit this restaurant regularly when we lived in the area. I have never been disappointed with either the food or the service. We had not been to this restaurant since our last visit to the area in April. We visited with our friends who are regular customers. I had the filet mignon with butterfly shrimp, rice, potatoes and garlic butter. The meal was excellent and everything was done to perfection. I think that there were fewer shrimp and that the rice portions were smaller than previous visits. Perhaps it was our imagination.Service was impeccable,Recommended
Recently went here for a pair of family Birthday celebrations. Menu hasn't changed much since our last visit with the exception of the addition of a New York Strip Steak. We tried it as well as the Hamburger Steak. I must say the hamburger steak was better than the New York Strip. It might have been just two bad cuts but there was a lot of gristle in both steaks. The service was ok, nothing special.The prices are OK, a tad high for what you get.
we just found out that they are now open. woo hoo. order and pay on the line. super easy. arriver at the pick-up time we have specified, and it was ready. they are also very well equipped for safe pickup. we ordered our... regular favorites and was just as expected: delicious and generous. (except the rice. it was good, but felt portio n was small.

Au Vieux Duluth offers typical American-Greek food. It is good, but on the greasy side. Huge portions. BYOB and very good prices make this place popular any day of the year. It can get noisy when it's full. Hubby loves the butterfly shrimp. I usually end up ordering a salad with Tzaziki on the side to avoid mega calories.
As a group , Au vieux Duluth is where we usualy go New year eve or any special event . Food is always good , portions are big , service is good and worth going . Prices are average . Good choice on the menu...and it's a bring your own wine place . Worth going
My friend ordered a burger and found a hair strand in it. The shrimp plates are good but when your friend finds a hair in her meal, you tend to lose your appetite. Service was friendly but slow and I would not go back.
Because of the pre-Christmas craziness we often have our Christmas get together after Christmas. It is also quieter so service is much better. The meals were excellent, the price reasonable and the service excellent

dry, thank you for the peppermint sauce to immerse it. the potatoes were tasteless, and the rice was cooked a lot. only one buck strength, tasteless.
i like going here with my wife always have great prices and the meals are great and not to expensive
