Aualm - Reservar una mesa

Half litre fanta and blackcurrant fizz plus a marathon bar (showing my age there) 8.50. They do a nice Leberkäse roll here (a generous doorstop of that strange Austrian food which in no way resembles either liver or cheese) but perhaps it’s a bit too soon after lunch.Nice terrace but a bit lacking in sunshine for our visit. It’s a white-out, in fact - the weather changed overnight from warm and sunny to cold and foggy, and on a wide open slope like the Aualm it’s as much as I can do to stay near the edge and pick my way downhill from pole to pole. I reviewed this place a couple of years ago when it was self service only. Now their waiter service is available, and the adjacent bottleneck lift has been replaced by a 6 man chair. Two delays removed. The Aualm piste used to be a pace to avoid because the old chair formed a horrid bottleneck - I haven't seen the new chair with half term crowds, but where I would have expected to wait at least a few minutes, today I skied straight on. It does mean that better skiers tend to come this week because it's a quick way back home, so the piste can get a bit busy, but there is plenty of room.As for the restaurant, we sat down at a spare table, grabbed a menu, and ordered.
