I had first visited this country auberge 30 years ago and had meant to return but never did until now. In fact I returned within days of the my re acquaintance with this delightful venue. You have first to find it as Tachon is a hamlet on a one track road in the wooded hillsides of the Monts de Madeleines. Parking can be an adventure too but do as everybody else does if the four or five places have been taken park wherever without blocking anyone in. The Auberge takes credit cards despite being set in the centre of a farming community of ramshackle buildings strewn with farming untidiness.
