Auberge Chez Gabrielle

This is a cosy and homely dining room with rows of tables so that everyone eats together. There is a small but tasty menu. My starter of Pyrenean goat's cheese with Pyrenean honey on a crouton and salad was delicious. After that we had the unbiquitous lamb cutlets, seasonal vegetables cooked in coconut oiland salad. The lamb was good and juicy. A plate of local cheeses completed our meal. We had good local wine to wash it down. There were lots of other diners and the atmosphere was friendly and convivial. A great evening.

Coming here we had some expectations given they're amazing reviews on this site but we where awfully disappointed with the service we ended up getting. One of the person I was with ordered a glass of wine that never came and the waitress took more then 30mins to come take our order. To top it all the food wasnt extraordinary and not at all worth the very long wait, would not recommend.

As others have mentioned this is a fairly small auberge with seating on some long tables. The food is really good, especially the vegetarian assiette. We also had the lamb was also great. Again as others have mentioned the dessert gormand is a good tip, and was a good mix of smaller portions of three dishes. Also great crepes and gallettes options.

Lovely chef, authentic food, good wines for a reasonable price. We had the lamb cutlets and the soup (don't be fooled this a large main meal complete with a roast leg of duck and lovely toasted bread). For desert we had wonderful crepes with fruit preserves made in th restaurant. Yes we'd go back!

We came for diner with a big group of people (17) from many different countries. The service was nice and friendly, the environment picturesque , and the customers were really happy with the quality of the food and the experience. Flawless!
