Why do people own or work in the restaurant trade if you don’t like people ? We sat down at around 1345hrs and looked at the menus. The waiter/manager came over and when I asked (in French) whether it was possible for food he replied sharply....”no fini, food stops at 2 o’clock!” (Hint take the food menus from the tables when you want to shut the kitchen) I asked if we could have a drink and he said yes but then didn’t take our order and turned away. We waited patiently for him to return and take our order but he ignored our attempts at eye contact. After waiting for 15 minutes he did not return to our table and instead proceeded to clear plates from other people, at that point we got up and...
We arrived today for lunch prior to looking round the castle. Although the food was fairly decent, and could have scraped a 4 review, the service was shocking and clearly the young waiter was more interested in serving the locals than tourists. He totally forgot my sons meal, which eventually came out after I’d finished my burger, not great. We had to ask for the kids drinks twice, as did another table with him serving, and then also the same for the bill after a near on ten minute wait after the first time of asking. The icing on the cake was when he was clearly having a laugh on at us with another couple of french customers. We eat in many restaurants of different levels all over the world...
