Auberge de la Chaumerette

We arrived here wanting to camp in the adjacent site but it doesn't open until May, the owners of the Auberge de la Chaumerette helped us find a spot to pitch up and we went to the bar for a glass of wine and a bit of lunch. Unfortunately they were fully booked for lunch but Angela conjured up a couple of plates of meats and bread for us.We returned in the evening for a lovely meal in the cosy atmosphere, all in all, a great experience.Thank you to Angela, Willem and Rocky!

Located in the beautiful village of Gargilesse, La Chaumerette is run by Angela, Willem and their gorgeous young son Kaythan. The setting is simply beautiful, a perfect place for lunch/dinner and a glass of wine whilst listening to the river. This is more than a 'camp site' it's simply a lovely , friendly place, not to be missed out.

Despite the late hours of Sunday noon, good reception, staff availability. The dishes were not disappointing and the environment is top. We will return with pleasure in this place totally outside of what we know for the singularity of the decorum.

Nice welcome, well regaled with a savoyard fondue. If we like good mountain dishes, here's a good address. Redo with pleasure
