Can thoroughly recommend this Auberge, run by a young team of three offering a warm welcome, and a simple, flavoursome four course menu in a hidden corner of rural France. We had an ample green bean ,échalote and egg salad starter with a delightful homemade vinaigrette with subtle notes of paprika and star anise . Beautifully cooked and seasoned ,wonderfully tender steak with home made chips followed, then cheese ,finished off with probably the best crème brûlée I have ever tasted in all my 52 years! All accompanied by a carafe of red wine . Very reasonably priced at 50€ for 3 menus, and 3 aperitifs. Suggest booking to avoid disappointment.
On est venu à 4 (2 adultes, 2 ados) par hasard, et on a passé une super soirée. Le cadre est très joli est paisible, la terrasse est vraiment agréable. L'ambiance est bonne, décontractée, avec des gens sympas et un service souriant et efficace. Et les plats... un délice!! Je me suis régalée avec une côte de veau aux morilles extra tendre. Les frites sont fantastiques également. Tous nos plats étaient bons, la carte est assez variée et j'ai trouvé qu'il y avait un excellent rapport qualité prix. Une adresse comme je les aime, à retenir!
Simply wonderful. My girlfriend and I were in vacation in Faux-La-Mongagne from New York and we’re lucky enough to stumble upon this gem of a restaurant. This is now our favorite restaurant in the world. Amazing atmosphere, charming and loving staff, and of course MIND BLOWING food! We did starters, main course, and dessert and just asked the server to get us whatever he thought was best. Every bite we took was followed with an audible “WOW!”. If you’re in the Limoges or Limosine region of France, this restaurant is a must!!!!
this old inn, given to the taste of the day by a new young and very pro team, is becoming a must-see of the thousandvache plateau. The same way as L’Atelier in Royère, we eat a home-made, generous and seasonal cuisine. Beers at the pressure are of quality. just like the wines offered. The place is both a coffee and a restaurant, and it makes you want to get there! On the noon, a working menu with a flat cheese and dessert entry is offered for euros!

Endroit extra. Par chance, nous sommes tombées sur le brunch mensuel à volonté . 37,5 euros pour 2 personnes, avec un verre de vin. Tout était délicieux. Charcuterie, œufs-bacon, salades composées, viennoiseries, jus de fruits, café, salade de fruits et gâteaux faits maison, fromage... Nous avons aussi découvert Faux-la-Montagne qui est une petite bourgade très sympa dans un environnement naturel très beau. Service: Dine in
