The Easter time allowed us to eat on the terrace, but the music broadcast near our table was too much and embarrassed the conversation. reception of staff is pleasant, but it is very direct when you choose the wine in particular. No wine card, so no real choice. For us, it was a surprising quincy followed by a modest chirarchy. No choice of entries, only composed salads. Despite a map on the slate in appearance provided, several dishes were missing. for the chosen dishes, the gambas are beautiful size but the kitchen remains very ordinary. tin is well served, but fries are too cooked. good for desserts, rich and tasty. We're not gonna try the experiment anymore.
My husband and I visited this little Auberge for dinner yesterday evening. We'd tried to get a table the previous evening but the all the tables were fully booked. We received a warm welcome and pre dinner drinks and cocktails were available along with an extensive wine list. All of our three courses were freshly prepared using locally sourced ingredients. There were many French local patrons enjoying dinner, and that's always a good sign. We will definitely return.
The Auberge , specialises in pizzas and grills. Both of which were average quality at a price above average, for what it was. We did enjoy the salad we had to start with. It was large, fresh and had fruit in it too. The glass of Vin superieur , was not superior. There are better places a bit further afield from the campsite which it serves.
Lovely food, helpful staff, reasonably priced, generally good atmosphere. We had their set menu which was delicious, even the profitoroles were amazing, home made, I think. Be careful if you order a few beers like my partner does as it upped the bill quite alot. Wine as expected was reasonable enough.
We ate here 3 times recently and it exceeded our expectations. We loved every dish, the atmosphere, sitting under the most amazing tree, thank goodness for the shade. I don't know what people expect but this is an auberge in France, so that's exactly what you get, and more. Reasonably priced too.
